PRIVACY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires the Trust to inform you of our policy for collecting and holding personal data.

Why we hold your data: We need to be able to contact those who have supported our campaign, in the past, to secure the future of Venus & Cupid Sculpture, in Morecambe, and who may wish to continue to support us in raising funds for the on-going maintenance and repairs, or other objects of the Trust.

What data we hold about you: We keep the name, postal address, telephone number and email address of people who have contacted us, for example to express interest in becoming a Friend of Venus & Cupid.  We also keep a record of which fund-raising events you may have attended.  For accounting purposes we also need to retain records of both the source of donations and the recipients of payments made by the Trust.

Where we hold your data: Your information is held by the Secretary to the Trust, who acts as Data Protection Officer.

Access to your data: Access to your data is available only through the Secretary.

Your rights of access to data:  You have the right to check the information that we hold on you, and to change or delete certain items.  You also have the right to have your personal data removed from the database, although this may affect our ability to communicate with you.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please contact the Secretary (see under “Contacts” on the pull-down menu).
